Is This A Live-Stream Event?

No. Slutcracker: The Movie is a video presentation cut from footage we made during last year's performances. That footage was part of the record we keep of performances for our own internal use here at Ballets Ruses, the parent production company responsible for The Slutcracker and other popular shows.

What Am I Renting And How Do I Do It?

Slutcracker: The Movie was cut from 'archival' footage we shoot for internal use at Ballets Ruses. It is a full presentation of the stage production, running about 81 minutes. User experience should be similar to subscription streaming players like Netflix and Amazon. To view, click the Rent Me button and complete the secure Paypal transaction. You will be delivered to the on-screen video player. Your rental will expire 48 hours from time of purchase.

What Kind Of Video Player Is This?

Our Player is a state-of-the-art custom job that is expected to give comparable performance to Netflix or Amazon. We are told it uses a Wowza streaming engine and a licensed JW player attached to the usual AWS goodies and our integrated Paypal account. The stream is encrypted and NOT available for downloads. It supports typical screen resolutions, including desktops, laptops and mobiles.

Does The Film Have Age Restrictions?

During normal times our shows are 18+ for mature content/sexual themes. We recommend adult supervision at home.

Casting Is Subject To Change Without Notice

This is true for live shows only. But given the archival video footage we used to cut the video was shot over several performances, combined with our desire to showcase two casts in the presentation, casting changes should be readily apparent in the movie.

What Does It Mean When The Show Is Sold Out?

This one does not apply to movie rentals but was left up anyway just because people ask it.
